After a restful night, you'll resume your trek, leaving the rainforest behind. As you ascend through the heather and moorland zones, you'll witness the landscape transforming. This day offers magnificent views of the Shira Plateau, with its wide expanse and stunning vistas. By the end of the day, you'll arrive at Shira Camp, perched at an elevation of 3,845 meters (12,615 feet). As you continue your ascent, the path leads you to the challenging but awe-inspiring Barranco Wall. Ascending this steep section requires focus and determination, but the rewarding views make it worthwhile. After conquering the wall, you'll traverse the rocky ridge and descend into the Karanga Valley. The day's trek concludes at Barranco Camp, situated at an elevation of 3,960 meters (13,000 feet). Here, you'll set up camp, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest, surrounded by the grandeur of the surrounding peaks.

Your journey continues as you leave Barranco Camp and proceed towards Barafu Camp, the final camp before your summit push. The trail takes you through varying landscapes as you gain altitude. You'll pass through alpine desert terrain, characterized by its barren yet captivating beauty. By the end of the day, you'll reach Barafu Camp, located at an elevation of 4,640 meters (15,200 feet). Take the time to rest, prepare mentally and physically for the upcoming summit attempt, and enjoy a nourishing dinner before settling in for the night.
